![]() I’d be surprised if the option to change offset wasn’t available. I was able to find a guide written on my plotter and then implement the settings into mine and it’s spot on now. Are the cutting program/manufacturers easy to get hold of? It probably wont be easy to find but will more than likely be out there. Have a good google, someone will have had the same problem no doubt. I’m slowly learning and will eventually invest in decent machinery with good aftercare.Īnyway, I digress. In hindsight I would have preferred to get up and running with a Roland or the likes and have decent support – but couldn’t justify the outlay, don’t know the business and wasn’t sure (still) whether I would get off the ground. I run a chinese unit (admittedly just started) and like yourself spent many an hour trying to get the things to work properly. I’ve never heard of jinka, is it a Chinese plotter? I really feel it’s the offset but unless someone knows a trick to change this in vinyl master pro 2.5 then I’m stumped : ( Could be the blade holder but to be honest it doesn’t look in bad nick compared to the one at my full time work place. I am determind to get to the bottom of the issue even if it’s just to earn some extra cash to help me save for decent plotter and software. this will also create issues such as graphics not closing. If the machine is not brand new, consider the blade carriage being loose or play in the cariage. either that or your media may not be loaded correct, slack/loose. but your assumptions of the “offset” sound about right. i cant help with the cutter as i havent even heard of that type. I cant help with the software as i run signlab for cutting. in a nutshell, cutters really should be plug and play if coupled with the right software.Īnyway, i know you will be aware of this by now… i just hate to read that folk like yourself get such a hard time when all you are trying to do is start your business. ![]() sorry if that sounds harsh, i mean it in the best way. Claire, the only good thing i can read in your post is that you are regretting the purchase.
